NYS Lawyer Assistance Trust Appoints Zimmerman to Board of Trustees

Hiscock & Barclay Partner Lawrence A. Zimmerman, a resident of Voorheesville, N.Y., has been appointed to serve as a member of the Board of Trustees of the New York State Lawyer Assistance Trust (LAT). His term officially began on January 1, 2010 and he will remain a member of the board until December 31, 2012. Formed in 2001, the LAT works to diminish alcohol and substance abuse in the legal community. It has been a force of awareness in the community, and has provided funding for programs that help treat alcohol and substance abuse. Zimmer presented the award to the law firm on behalf of the committee.

Zimmerman has represented clients in hundreds of proceedings involving real property tax reduction, condemnation and a variety of commercial litigation matters. He has appeared at administrative hearings before the Office of Real Property Services, Department of Environmental Conservation and other New York State agencies. Zimmerman currently works in the Albany office of Hiscock & Barclay, LLP.
