Hiscock & Barclay Adds Three New Attorneys

Christopher J. Hanifin joins Hiscock & Barclay's Albany office as Counsel along with two new Associates, James A. Davis, who joins the Firm's Buffalo office, and Zachary D. Forward, who joins the Syracuse office.

Christopher Hanifin (Delmar resident) has over 14 years of experience as a senior legal advisor with private sector corporations, governmental organizations, and the United States military. He has proven leadership within diverse legal disciplines, including administrative and utility regulation, administrative litigation, transaction negotiations, contracts, real estate, litigation, corporate governance, and military defense and administrative law. Hanifin has extensive experience with sophisticated transactions and agreements involving varied regulatory challenges and legal issues in education, government, and corporate environments. Prior to joining the Firm, he served as Chief in the Legal Assistance Division for the US Army, 7th Army Joint Multi-National Training Command in Vilseck, Germany; and before being stationed overseas, he was Acting General Counsel at The Research Foundation of the State University of New York. Hanifin is a graduate of Albany Law School of Union University and Siena College.

James Davis (Tonawanda resident) is an experienced litigator with a focus on insurance defense. He also has experience advising health care facilities on federal and state compliance matters, and has counseled medical professionals in disputes with insurance companies and regulatory agencies. Prior to joining Hiscock & Barclay, Davis was an Associate with Feldman Kieffer, LLP. He is a graduate of University at Buffalo Law School and St. Bonaventure University.

Zachary Forward (Onondaga Hill resident) provides counsel on general business and corporate matters to a variety of business entities. He is a recent graduate of Wake Forest University School of Law and Wake Forest University Graduate School of Management (MBA) as well as Cornell University. His admission to practice in New York is pending. Prior to joining Hiscock & Barclay, Forward was a Summer Associate at the Firm and a Summer Law Clerk for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of New York.
