Attorney James Milbrand Joins Hiscock & Barclay Law Firm

Milbrand concentrates his practice in the areas of state and federal, commercial, mass tort, and health care litigation. He has extensive experience involving both civil and criminal investigations and trials. Milbrand's practice includes representation of businesses and professionals with respect to regulatory conformity, "whistle blower" litigation, enforcement of non-competition covenants, section 807 labor disputes, mass tort and various other matters involving civil and criminal investigations. He has acted for clients in disputes with federal and state enforcement agencies and has defended both individuals and businesses against allegations of fraud relating to health care, tax, false claims, environmental compliance and professional discipline.

Milbrand, a former Partner with Hodgson Russ, is admitted to practice in New York and before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern, Northern, Southern and Western Districts of New York as well as the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. He is a graduate of Albany Law School of Union University and Allegheny College. Milbrand is on the Board of Directors for the Amherst Police Foundation and the Legal Services for the Elderly and Disabled as well as Vice President of the Police Athletic League of Buffalo.
